A Commercial Lines Account Manager will be responsible for the daily ongoing management and retention of clients through superior customer service & communication, while maintaining a partnership with the Agent to support business. The Commercial Lines Account Manager will service clients, conduct accurate data entry, and uphold Panorama’s core values. 

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage accounts on a day-to-day basis including coordinating all services while multi-tasking
  • Utilize strong interpersonal & communication skills to maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients, Agents, company representatives & co-workers
  • Primary contact between clients and insurance carrier, maintaining continuous communication, providing creative solutions to meet clients’ needs for coverage and costs
  • Create renewal rate comparison proposals, negotiate & secure the most appropriate carrier coverage based on client needs for new and renewal business while working with the Producer & the Marketing Department
  • Conduct research, analyze facts, and prepare necessary documents
  • Follow all applicable binding procedures including accurate coverage, conditions, and limitations
  • Present proposals, bind coverage, address invoicing, endorsements, and cancellations in a timely manner, verifying accuracy and coverage adequacy
  • Process claims and assist with audits
  • Provide answers regarding coverage, deductible payment plans, and provide premium quoting & financing contracts
  • Issue insurance certificates, Evidence of Property binders, binders, and auto ID cards while preserving confidentiality
  • Consistently and accurately update systems including invoicing and payments.
  • Assist with training and provide desk coverage for teammates when absent
  • Efficiently enter and maintain accounts/policies in Agency Management System while servicing a current suspense
  • During renewal process, analyze assigned accounts to place appropriate coverages and limits of insurance. Obtain renewal        updates and applications from client. Work closely with carriers, underwriters, and wholesale brokers to secure program.          Review applications, workbooks, recaps, loss runs, and experience modifications for accuracy.
  • Assist clients in submitting the first reports of claims, follow-up on status, address customer service issues, research & resolve coverage issues, and billing discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain licensing requirements & training, keeping up to date on industry information, underwriting guidelines, new product information, coverage, and technology
  • Represent the company with a positive, ethical, and professional manner over the phone, in writing, and in person at all times
  • Multi-task in an ever-changing environment, while balancing collaboration with autonomy and excel at teamwork

 Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Insurance Account Management experience
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and agency management system experience (Applied EPIC, preferred)
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License (CISR preferred)
  • Experience in Epic, TAM, or Applied software

 Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Applicable state required Property & Casualty License
  • CISR preferred
  • High school department of equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
